Key West Fishing

the Emily Anne Key West, FL

The Florida Keys provide the most plentiful and greatest variety of fishing in the world, no matter if we’re trolling, deep sea , gulf and bay or reef and wreck fishing, there’s always a great catch awaiting you out there in the beautiful clear blue waters of the Florida Keys.

Fish such as sailfish, marlin, kingfish, dolphin and whoo, the real tough exciting fighters, can be found with our experienced Captains and professional guides as we troll along leisurely, or hook into a large grouper or snapper that seem to like to hang out and feed at the bottom just off of the reefs and around the wrecks as we anchor to settle in for a few hours of relaxation.

Either way you can enjoy your fresh catch at one of our local restaurants where the chefs will prepare it for you to your liking or use our pack 'n' ship service to have your catch delivered fresh to your doorstep.

Types of local Key West fish

Offshore Deep Sea Fishing

Many of the local species of fish are known to travel further offshore to feed and migrate, however that's no problem with Adventure Watersport Charters as our ability to reach the deep waters from our dock in a short period of time and our overnight charter trips are the answer to targeting your favorite catch.  This allows you and your party a maximized deep sea fishing adventurous experience by covering more fishing waters in less time.

Reef and Wreck Fishing

The reef and wreck fishing will turn up the deep runners such as goliath groupers, mutton, snapper, kingfish, permit, barracuda, sailfish and many other species that like to live under the cover and feeding grounds of the reefs and sunken ships. The protection that these underwater type structures provide hold large amounts of baitfish, which in turn attract many species of large sport fish as they look to feed.

Permit

Gulf and Bay Fishing

The best of both actions in combination for the fast runners such as cobia, permit, mackerel, mangrove snapper, jewfish, speckled trout, barracuda and many other top game fish, as well as the deep water sport fish as we travel further out.   Though the limits are tighter on the Gulf as the Federal fishing permit moratorium continues, (of which we are grandfathered into and does not affect us as it does the majority of the fishing boats), this makes the waters virtually untouched with a greater opportunity for you to hook the fish of your dreams in more of a relaxed atmosphere while still getting some excellent action at the same time.

Please note that our catch and release policy follows the federal and state government regulations.  However if you would like to have a faux mount of a large sport fish that you caught, we are able to provide you with an excellent taxidermist that produces a wonderful replica based on the measurements and photos of your particular catch.
